Don't Ask Don't Tell Passes, But will ROTC BE Back On Campus?

Over the weekend the Senate voted to overturn the controversial Don't Ask Don't Tell policy which prohibited gays and lesbians from serving openly in the U.S. armed forces. This week the president is expected to sign this legislation, thereby fulfilling one of his campaign promises.

With the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, will college campuses across the nation now begin allowing ROTC back on campus? Many colleges and universities removed ROTC from their campus in opposition to the Vietnam War. This ban continued even after the war ended, but then these colleges and universities continued this policy in their support for overturning Don't Ask Don't Tell.

Now that the ban will be lifted, will ROTC be able to return to colleges and universities across the country? Will the academic and political elites again show their disdain for those that serve in the armed forces of the United States by finding other reason's for not allowing ROTC on campus.

Only time will tell, but I am not holding my breath.
