Senators diverted $2.6 billion in funds in a defense spending bill to pet projects largely at the expense of accounts that pay for fuel, ammunition and training for U.S. troops, including those fighting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to an analysis. http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/oct/15/troop-funds-diverted-to-pet-projects/Both political parties in Washington are more concerned with taking care of themselves then those fighting for the beliefs they profess. Again different party in charge but the same old system is in place take care of yourself, and forget about the armed forces of this nation. No wonder the American people look at politicians as used car salesman; their all the same!
